Kevin Privott, a 6-2 180 wide receiver/defensive back from Hertford County High verbally committed to play football at Old Dominion.

Privott, who is in the Class of 2013 is one of the top returning players for Coach Scott Privott's Bears.

When asked why he selected the Monarchs, Privott said, "I picked Old Dominion because I like what they have done with the football program and what they are going to do. I feel like I will have a great chance to succeed in academics."

Privott was being recruited by several schools and had offers from Navy, Liberty, Charlotte, Furman, Hampton, Howard, and NC Central.

The standout caught 11 passes for 297 yards with 2 touchdowns. As a defensive back, he recorded 2 interceptions. "They recruited me as a wide receiver, but I will have a chance to play both ways," stated Privott.

The Bears finished 4-8 last year and Privott wants him and his teammates to improve daily. He said, "This year, we need to take it one day at a time and get better every day. We want to get Hertford County Football back on track."
