August 23, 2012 Here are the VTO Sports/NCPreps.com Players of the Week for Week 1. 1A Blake Greene of Red Springs HS - Greene completed 24 of 34 passes for 423 yards with 6 TDS and ran for 3 TDS in a 67-27 Uwin over West Bladen. 2A Austin Wallace of East Davidson HS - Wallace passed for 328 yards with 4TDs in a 56-26 loss to Rockingham County. 3A B.J. Beecher of Concord HS - Beecher completed 21 of 26 passes for 454 yards with 7 TDs in a 62-35 win over West Charlotte. 4A Richard Hayes III of Dudley HS - Hayes ran 28 times for 225 yards with 5 TDs and returned a kickoff for another score in a 49-25 win over Southern Durham. Private Will Grier of Davidson Day - Grier completed 26 of 37 passes for 369 yards with 4 TDs and ran 13 times for 150 yards with a TD in 46-29 win over Harrells Christian.
