Time...Pink Floyd; quite possibly one of the best lines in a poem ever written...to me anyway.

"you run and you run to catch up with sun but it's sinking, racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you are older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death."

Mike Stud- "Six foot, Seven foot" Remix

LOL- he said "She can't get it, so I just cut her like Rivera."

Not sure how many of you will get that, but that is a legit punch line right there.

King Arthur-Rick Wakeman

That's the theme song BBC Uses for their election coverage, it's quite an epic tune. I am not the biggest progressive rock fan in the world but this song and ELO are the best part of the whole genre

Fo' realz? My family owns shares of a house at Sunset. Played Sea Trails a few times, but we typically head down closer to N. Myrtle to play.

I'm going to knock on every door along that fairway the next time we go until I see a man who looks like he would be chipshot answers the door.

P.S. I don't remember seeing any Obama statue thingys chillin' in any yards along that course?

Hey chip can I play Sea Trails with my shirt off, I'm sure I'll be a bit burnt from the beach. My normal golfing attire is cut off jeans(underware showing) no shirt, and jesus sandals. My red snapper consumption is usually 12- 15, furthermore I don't even start ahollerin' until the 17th hole anyway...so you'll hear me coming.

Posted on 2/22 6:59 PM | IP: Logged

Yeah, and I'll be the one with the grazin' goats, mules droppin big ass plies of mule shat, and two or three strippers with us . We usually start screamin' and raisin' hell about the fifth hole.

Posted on 2/22 7:07 PM | IP: Logged

Gso you know we don't start hollerin that early!

Posted on 2/22 7:49 PM | IP: Logged

We like to label our golfing attire as Renaissance Hillbilly. It's usually about the fifth to seventh hole where them cats come 'aridin' out through the golf field on their fancy carts to ask us, albeit politely, that maybe we could find another outside activity for that particular day of recreation. Most of the time we just go ahead and split. I think The Doors music does something to my brain that perhaps no other genre does. I know Mayelline has Charlotte rockin' with Jimmy and the boys. That being said " LA Woman " by The Doors will be protruding my windows, doors, and unnailed items shortly.

Tee markers are solo cups filled with concrete……

Barefoot golf is allowed….

Cart Racing is big on Sundays…..

Can fish in lakes….Swim too

Cash pool for who can stay out the longest in a lighting storm…

Putter throwing contest…

"America" Neil Diamond.

Why I like the song, I have no clue. I heard it my college class the other day and I could not get it out of my head. I am not a Diamond fan at all but I like this tune, it's one of the best pro America songs there is.

If only I owned a fancy golf field
Them golf shoes would be prohibited
You could ride your mule from hole to hole
The ladies sisters could be exibited.

If you wanted to tee off from number one
And didn't like the way it looked
Tee off from one and play number five
Over the lake with a hookin' hook.

If it got a little humid
And you wanted to take a dip
Swimming is definitely allowed
And so is takin' a sip.

There would be a large cash prize
For the one in the lightnin' the longest
We'd also have arm rasslin' contest
To crown The Golfer That's The Strongest.

If you think you've got a cannon
Like Nolan Ryan you may mutter
We have a contest just for you
Called Throw Your Friggin' Putter.

The girls in thongs will wait on you
At this course they'll be no bickerin'
The sweeties will bring you small snacks
To go along with all that likkerin'.
