Lincolnton (N.C.) QB Cordell Littlejohn (2018) is ready for the upcoming high school football season. Last year, he led the Wolves (12-3) with almost 2,000 yards passing and 600 yards on the ground.

There is a lot of optimism this season in Coach Ledford Gibson’s 2nd season as head coach. The Wolves have a talented group of players returning especially on the offensive side of the ball.

What are your expectations after a huge season last year and coming up short of a state title?

“I anticipate nothing less than a state title. I feel very confident with the team we have.”

How does it feel to have a big-time transfer target like Sage Surratt to throw too?

“It feels awesome. He is definitely a big help. It just opens up the offense so much more.”

What are some QB mechanics things you have been working on this off-season?

“I’ve just been working on my arm strength and my footwork. Having good footwork keeps my throws accurate.”

As a team leader, what type of approach have you been taking this year as you prepare for your junior season?

“I just want to be a more vocal leader and also lead by action.”

What are your thoughts on the first game? What are some things you would like to do to start the season off right?

“First of all, I want to get that win of course, but I would like to see our offense click like it is mid-season. I want to get a lot of people involved on the offensive side of the ball.”

How often do you go back and watch film of your old games to break down defenses, study, and learn from your mistakes?

“Just about every other day. I always want to get better so I don’t want to make the same mistakes.”

How would you describe yourself as a passer?

“I’d say I am a passer that gets the ball where it needs to go.”

What’s the longest touchdown you have passed for and ran for?

“My longest TD pass was 94-yards to Langdon Givens. My longest TD run was a 48-yard run.”

What is your current GPA? Has any colleges showing interest or offered yet?

“I have a 3.4 GPA. Clemson, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, NC State, and UNC all have shown some interest in me. I haven’t received my first offer yet.”

What is your dream college if you had your choice to pick from any team?

“Honestly, I don’t have a dream team.”
