How is the season going so far for you?

“The season is going great! We are currently 5-1 and hoping to win the state championship this year. Last year we lost in the State Championship.”

What mental preparations do you take before big games?

“I watch a lot of film during the whole week up to the game. I also pray before every game.”

What mechanics have you worked on in the off-season to help you get ready for this year?

“This summer I worked with my QB coach (former Tennessee All-American and NFL QB Heath Shuler) on a lot of footwork. We both felt that I could improve on it a lot and the hard work has paid off.”

What is your current recruiting situation? Do you have any offers?

“I currently have no offers, but I am being recruited very hard by Elon, East Tennessee State, and Western Carolina. I have recently heard from Richmond and Fayetteville State.“

What is your dream college?

“I don't really have a dream college. I will be happy to go anywhere that I can get a good education as well as play football.”

Who is you favorite NFL QB that you model your game after?

“Although I dislike his off the field activities and reputation, I would model my game after Johnny Manziel. We both throw the ball very well and make things happen when the play has broken down.”

What is your core GPA?

“My core GPA is a 3.1!”

How do you watch game film to break down things you did wrong and can improve on?

“I look for tendencies in my bad throws. If I have a bad throw it is usually from my footwork and when I have a good throw it comes from my footwork.”

What is your longest pass you have thrown this year?

“I think my longest pass this year so far has been 54 yards.”

What are your current stats?

“In 6 games, I am currently 122-177 (69%) for 1,586 yards and 16 touchdowns. I also have rushed for 185 yards.”

How much do you bench?

“225 lbs”

Do you think playing basketball has helped you play better at the QB position?

“Yes. Basketball has helped my athletic ability and my decision making.”

Who are you biggest influences?

“My parents both influence me a lot! I am so thankful for both of them.”

What makes you a leader?

“My work ethic, generosity, and courage.”

Why should colleges recruit you?

“Because I am a great leader, teammate, player, and great in the classroom.”
