The Nike EYBL will be back in action this year, with the games starting this weekend for two North Carolina based AAU Teams, as Team United and Team CP3 look to show off the talent from NC.
Each group has several top players from around the state, several of them looking to increase their recruitment and exposure, as there will be several coaches and media outlets in attendance at the four events in the coming weeks.
The first event will be held in Sacramento, CA on April 25-27, and then head to Dallas, TX May 10-11, Hampton, VA May 17-18, and Minneapolis, MN May 24-26.
Listed below are the players that will be playing for each team, with some of the names described below.
Team United
Some the names that stand out early on the list is forward Luke Maye, who has several schools offering him, while some of the top schools around the area still showing interest. He has great hands and is a forward that can spread the floor with his three point shot. Carter is another lengthy forward and will look to be a true presence down low for Team United. Shaun Kirk is another explosive forward who has offers from Auburn and VCU.
Team CP3
For Team CP3, the big name that will first jump out at you is Harry Giles, who will be looking to get back on the court after a long rehab, determined to show that he is still one of the top players in the nation in the class of 2016. Other players are Ronshad Shabazz, a guard who can shoot the basketball; Zaqwuan Matthews from Myers Park, a guard who is getting several looks from Division I schools; Raekwon Long, who is one of the tallest players in his class and a true center; Darius Moore, a point guard who knows how to handle being a leader at the point guard position; and Xavier Hills-Mills, a lengthy forward from Page, one of the top teams in the North Carolina this past season.
