3A NCHSAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Chapel Hill Tigers
The Tigers make their way to the 3A State title game with a perfect 31-0 mark and ranked #1 in the NCPreps.com 3A Girls Poll. Catherine Romaine leads the Tigers with 10.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Other top standouts for the Tigers are Raziyah Farrington who leads the team in scoring at 12.4 and Autumn West who averages 10.3 points. Jamella Smith also averages in double figures with a 12.1 point and 6.0 rebound average. This is the second straight trip to the finals for Chapel Hill and third trip ever.
Hickory Red Tornadoes
Hickory also took an unbeaten path to the 3A title game by finishing 29-0 and ranked 2nd in the final regular season 3A poll by NCPreps.com. Danasia Witherspoon leads Hickory by averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals per game. Yazman Hannah averages 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals per game. Sadasia Tipps is another top player for the Red Tornadoes. Hickory has been to the finals 6 times in their history and twice out of the last 4 years.

James B. Hunt Warriors
Hunt makes the 3A title game with a 25-2 record and ranked 5th in the last regular season poll by NCPreps.com. Quan Hunt leads the team with a 13.4 points average per game, followed by Kennan Tabron who chips in 12.2 points per game. Other standouts for Hunt are Justin Jefferson, who averages 12.1 points and 4.5 rebounds and Josh Willingham who adds 11.3 point s and 9.4 rebounds. This is Hunt's first appearance in the state title game.
Freedom Patriots
Freedom has marched to the state game with a 30-1 record and finished #1 in the last regular season poll by NCPreps.com. Jeron Hemphill leads the Patriots by averaging 15.1 points and 8.4 rebounds. Gabe Logan adds 14.0 points per game. Chris Bridges and Khris Gardin averaged 11.3 and 11.1 points per game. Freedom is making the 3rd trip to the state championship game.
