Scotland County (NC) 5-star running back Zamir White has been selected as the NCPreps.com Pre-Season Player of the Year for the upcoming season. White, who verbally committed to Georgia in June over Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio State, and Clemson is consider to be the top running back in the nation by several media outlets.

White, who stands 6'0 205 pounds will lead a very good Scotland County into the 2017 season. Coach Richard Bailey had the following to say about his standout, "Zamir is a great football player and even a better person. He is extremely humble and a team player. He is the best high school football player that I've ever coached."

Last year, White ran for close to 1,700 yards with 26 touchdowns in helping the Fighting Scots to a 14-1 record and a Southeastern 4A Conference Championship.
