North Mecklenburg (NC) Aaron Scott is ready for the upcoming 2018 season. The 6-2 160 pound junior quarterback had a great year for the Vikings in leading them into the state playoffs. After that successful season, he is starting to get some recruiting attention from several schools.
NCPreps.com reached out to Scott to find out more about him and his recruiting.
How did your season go?
"We had good year finishing the year with a 9-4 record. We did fall short in the 2nd round of playoffs and we're looking to bounce back this year."
What honors or awards did you receive?
"I was Max Preps Player of the Week and a member of the I- Meck All Conference Team."
What were your season stats?
"Last year, I finished with over 1,786 passing yards with 15 passing touchdowns and 638 rushing yards with 9 rushing touchdowns."
What are your strengths on the field?
"My vision, pocket awareness, and the ability to be a team player."
What other sports do you play?
"Basketball"
What schools have shown interest in you?
"Charlotte, Georgia Tech, NC State, Wake Forest, UNC, Wyoming, NC Central, Elon, and Yale."
What player do you model your game after and why?
"Carson Wentz because he is a great leader and always a great team player. Also because of his play style and consistency. He also does a great job off the field as well."
What are your plans for the off-season?
"I want to become a better player, Quarterback and leader for my team."
What are your goals on the field for 2018?
"I want to win a championship!"
