North Lincoln (NC) RB Clayton Cribb certainly knows how to bring out a crowd every Friday night. His north-south running style grabs the cheers of fans on a weekly basis. The 5’11 195-pound Junior from Denver, NC bulldozed through virtually anyone who stood in his path as he averaged over 100 rushing yards per game this season. Despite his 195-pound frame, Cribb runs through arm tackles seemingly with ease while keeping a great forward body lean and low center of gravity. These characteristics are critical for being an efficient running back.

The junior workhorse spent his sophomore campaign at Davidson Day (NC) where he rushed for 9 touchdowns as the Patriots’ starting running back. Since making the transition to a new program, Clayton has not missed a beat. He immediately emerged as a leader of his new team and teammates have gravitated towards Clayton’s work ethic and determination to win.

Now that the Knights’ season has concluded, Clayton can focus on preparing his body for the gruesome combine circuit approaching in the next few months. On film, there isn’t much to dislike about Cribb’s game. He is an old-fashion, downhill runner who fights for every single yard. With the right training regimen, I can visualize Clayton Cribb as 5’11 210-pound back that eclipses the 2,000-yard mark next season.
