Lincoln Charter School (NC) Guard Jackson Gabriel has a silky-smooth game. The junior sharpshooter from Denver, NC has played a key role in the Eagles success since his freshman season. Under the helm of Coach Brad Gabriel, Jackson's father, the Eagles have amassed a record of 72 wins and only 9 losses in Jackson's first two seasons as a starter. His sophomore year was undoubtingly his most successful one as he averaged 17 PPG and finished 2nd in the state in 3-pointers made and capped off the season with a 97-75 win over Kestrel Heights (NC) in the NCHSAA 1A State Championship game.

"I try and model my game after my dad. He was different in that he could shoot from anywhere but he could also score the ball. He wasn't just a shooter. He was also a team player and did everything it took to win." Jackson explained.

Now in his junior season, Jackson is prepared to not only take his game to the next level but attract attention from major programs as well. His work ethic doesn't end on the hardwood as Jackson boasts a 3.6 GPA in the classroom.

"I'm a winner and I'll do whatever it takes to win. I'm a really good student and I know how to study the other team through film work. All of this is an important factor and a hidden factor when being recruited. So hopefully, if a college wants a winner then I am a very good choice." - Jackson Gabriel

How is your Season going?

"Our season is going good. We let a couple of games slip away in the closing minutes but those were to top teams in the state like Cox Mill and Butler. We are 12-3 right now so we are in a good position to repeat as State Champs."

What are your season stats?

"14.1pts per game 6.7 rebounds 5.6 assist 2.1 steals per game this season. I've had a season high 27pts vs. Porter Ridge but I'm prouder of having a career high 9 assist vs. Comenius and 12 rebounds vs. Lake Norman Charter."

What are you career stats?

"I scored my 1000th point this year vs. Lake Norman Charter. I hit it on a 3 pointer which was really cool because my dad hit his 1000th point in high school and college on a 3 pointer so I wanted to do the same."

What are your strengths on the court?

“I think my strengths on the court is I am a very smart player. I'm also a team player that only wants to win. I know I can score and shoot but I do whatever is necessary in order to win."

What schools are interested in you?

"Navy, UNCG, Presbyterian, Wofford, Lipscomb, Campbell and Liberty."
