Get to Know the Player
How would you describe yourself as a player on the field?
I think I would describe myself as a very physical player with good instincts and a knack for being around the ball. Mentally I think I bring a cerebral asset to game.
And which player do you model your game after or who would best describe you?
I model my game after Luke Kuechly because of his mental approach to the game and wanting to be on every tackle. I just want to make plays (for my team).
How has your recruitment gone overall in your eyes?
It's been going good I think so far. It started off slow but it is starting to pick up in recent weeks towards the end of evaluation period. A big summer would really cause my recruitment to explode.
What offers do you currently hold from schools?
I have no Division I offers right now.
Which schools are showing you the most interest?
Penn, Western Carolina, James Madison, Appalachian State, North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T are showing me the most interest. There is a small interest from schools like Navy and other ACC schools.
Have you planned any visits in the future?
I have a visit planned for Appalachian State over the summer but I plan on scheduling more in the future.
Could you describe some of the schools you have been to and your thoughts on them?
I have only been to only East Carolina, North Carolina A&T, and North Carolina Central so far in my recruitment but I enjoyed all of them.
Football wise, what are you looking for in a school?
I'm looking for a great program where I can thrive and have great relationship with coaches and players.
What have you been working on during the off season?
I have been working mainly on my top end speed and 40 time. I also have been working on my explosion and change of direction.
What are your strengths & weakness on the field?
My strengths I think would be my instincts, leadership, and ability to make plays. My weaknesses would be my change of direction right now, and my ability to explode every play.
What do you think you could provide on the field to a collage team looking at you?
I think I could provide a smart, technically sound football player who is a great tackler, is more athletic than people think, and can make plays for a defense. I also can lead a defense and take control.
Any goals you would like to achieve before you graduate high school?
I would like to make the All-State football team this year and break my high school's all-time tackling record. Going far in the playoffs and winning a state championship would be another goal of mine.
How did this past season go in your own opinion for both yourself and for your team?
It went better than previous seasons for my school but still a lot of room for improvement. My season was great I thought but definitely could be greater and it will be.
