SGT David Rose Memorial Day Classic

The S.SGT David Rose Memorial Day Classic will take place this weekend at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, NC.
The event honors Staff Sergeant David Rose, who served in the United States Marine Corps. He served 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before being honorably discharged in 2011. After suffering through depression and PTSD, David passed away last Memorial Day.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Wounded Warriors Project, which creates awareness and raises funds for the rehabilitation of injured soldiers.
The field is made up of 24 17U squads, 16 16U & 15U teams, and 7 14U programs. All 17U games will be played at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, while the younger age groups will play at Northeast Guilford High School in McLeansville.
Pool play begins on Friday night and continues through Saturday afternoon. The tournament will culminate with the championship rounds on Sunday.
NCPreps will be on site to get a look at some of the premier AAU programs in the state.
Notable teams include Team Felton, UBA Raleigh, and WCBA Blue, but the team to watch will be PSB Select.
PSB Select is absolutely loaded this summer, and features a roster comprised of Charles Minlend, Steven Santa Ana, KiShawn Pritchett, Trey Phills, and Hunter Seacat, all of whom currently hold D1 offers.
There are high-profile prospects spread throughout the docket. At the 17U level, notable players include dual-sport athletes Cameron Tripp of the Carolina Hawks, and Daquan Lilly of UBA Raleigh, as well as Robert Brown of WCBA Blue, DJ Salder of Team Legacy, and Spencer Wilson of the NC Spartans.
