VTO Sports and Next Gen came together and hosted the Chicago Elite 100 at the Canlan Sportsplex in Chicago, IL on Saturday, April 15. Both groups have invites to the national camps in The All-American Challenge (VTO) and The Show (NXGN).
Many of the top performers got invited to both events. Both groups invited 80 athletes to compete for invites to the All-American Challenge (in Charlotte NC) and The Show (in Atlanta GA).
The event had over 125 players registered from mainly Illinois and a few other states represented to participate. Each player got quality teaching and techniques from former college/NFL players. The highlight of the event is the one-on-one competitions where the players can show off their talents.
VTO Sports recognizes a Top 5 and a MVP in each position. They also select special underclassmen as well. Those players get invites to the All-American Challenge to be held July 7-9 at West Cabarrus High School in Concord, NC.
Coach Vince Jacobs, VTO Sports National Camp Director:
"We tried something that hasn’t been done before this weekend in Chicago. We joined the two top camps in the nation together. It was ton of talent all over the field. The three groups I was most impressed with were the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and linebackers.
"The lead NXGN coaches were very excited to work with the VTO athletes. They would not have seen with the partnership and same for the VTO coaches."
"Both groups invited a bunch of athletes and more invites coming this week. The VTO QB #15 earned invite to The Show. The NXGN Lead QB Coach said he was the best QB they had worked with all season."
"We are discussing plans to host more joint events in 2024."
