Wolfpack land Ricky Person, one of the best in 2018

N.C. State was close to getting some major wins this past season but the Wolfpack just got a huge recruiting win. Ricky Person, the 2018 Rivals100 running back from Wake Forest (N.C.) Heritage, announced his commitment to N.C. State.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"I gave this a lot of thought and talked to my family," Person said. "We think N.C. State would be a good fit. I recently lost my grandma. I told her would go there before she died. She told me to go with my heart.

"I know they have a couple big recruits coming in and I know they have a lot of people returning, especially on defense," he said. "I'm trying to get Jalen Mayden to join me.

"I plan to visit N.C. State this Saturday," said Person. "I will be at Virginia for their junior day in March I think.

RIVALS' REACTION

Person is a major talent and should be a star for his hometown team. He is very close with his family and being near home is clearly a priority for him. Person is an every-down back that can run inside or outside and be a big time factor in the passing game.
