Lestin, listed as a small forward, chose the Pirates over other offers that included Providence and UMass.

"They said that my game is similar to Pascal Siakam. I am a point forward type of player, skilled with some size."

During the pandemic all of the recruitment was done virtually, but Wright-Easy and the staff was still able to put the program's best foot forward.

"The campus there is nice. I had a couple virtual visits where they showed me around, that I liked a lot."

Lestin’s Halton Prep team has jumped out to a 6-0 start on the season. Lestin is averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds 6 assists and 1.5 blocks per game so far

East Carolina is 8-8 overall this season as they continue to steadily improve under Joe Dooley. Lestin joins 6'3" guard RJ Felton of Aiken, SC, 6'8" forward Tay Mosher of The Colony, Tx and 6'8" forward Alexis Reyes of Boston, Ma in East Carolina's 2021 class.
