Don's Specials this week are posted below:
In the South Piedmont 3A: West Rowan (5-1 2-0) at NW Cabarrus (5-1 2-0)
West Rowan has scored 217 points and had given up 155. The Falcons are coming off a SPC 3A conference win against their county rival South Rowan 61-20. West can now concentrate on sole possession of first place of the conference when they travel to play the NW Cabarrus Trojans. After scoring nine touchdowns last week, the Falcons look to continue their scoring barrage as QB Luke Graham and running back Evan Kennedy will lead the way. Adrian Stockton returned a kickoff for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass last week and will be a major player again this week.
NW Cabarrus has scored 170 points and has given up 84. The Trojans beat East Rowan 26-3 last week. QB Jr. Alex Walker will direct the NW Cabarrus offense. Walker's prime targets are senior Jemari Nored and sophomore Cesidio Castricone. Ray Jay Waters will be a contributor as a solid running back. The Trojans defense has been stellar all year. Jackson Forrest, sophomore Dylan Gregory, and Khamani Whitecarr look to stop the high-power offense of the Falcons.

In the Central Piedmont 4A: East Forsyth (5-0 2-0) at Mount Tabor (5-0 2-0)

Dual-threat quarterback Jalen Alexander, an Arkansas State commit, continues to wreak havoc on opponents. Alexander has a couple wide outs in Que'sean Brown and Jayvontay Conner that keeps defenses honest if they try to stop Alexander on the ground. OL Kamryn Blackman is having a suburb season by anchoring the offensive line The Eagles can play defense too. RJ Brown averages 11 tackles a game. Derrick Richardson averages 8 per game along with Nick Martin with 4 sacks and Nathan Martin.

Defensively, the Spartans have LB Sr. Nicholas Paige-Villalobos, LB Jr. Jerome Gibson and DE Jr. Anthony Patella. They are a huge part of the reason Mount Tabor has only given up 41 points total all year. Did I mention that the winner takes a big step in controlling the Central Piedmont 4AConference championship!
